Audicratic Monthly – June 2026: 38 Spesh, Zelda & Street Interviews

This month was all about getting out of the studio and creating content in new ways. From filming street interviews at a local hip-hop show—including a quick conversation with 38 Spesh—to experimenting with comedic Zelda videos, June was packed with creative projects, unexpected moments, and a lot of fun.

38 Spesh Interview

One of the highlights of June was covering the Stage One Day Party, where I had the chance to catch up with 38 Spesh while he was on the move. We walked together for about 90 seconds as I asked him a few quick questions, including what hardware he uses to make beats. Just as the interview was wrapping up, Benny the Butcher unexpectedly walked into the frame, creating an ending I definitely didn't see coming.

It all happened so fast, but those 90 seconds turned into one of my favorite pieces of content from the month.

The Stage One Day Party wasn't just about one interview—it was a great opportunity to connect with a variety of artists and creators throughout the day. I caught up with Beat Behemoth, Mirk, KiKi, Milkshake Godfather, Mista Pigz, Sime Gezus, and Albany Lou, with each conversation highlighting a different artist, project, or perspective from the local scene.

It was a reminder of how much talent exists in the Capital Region and why I enjoy documenting the people who help shape it.

After Nintendo announced that an Ocarina of Time remake is coming later in 2026, I couldn't resist putting my own spin on the excitement. I created a series of four comedic Zelda-themed videos where I step into the role of Link and imagine what life in Hyrule might look like in the real world. From beat-making with an MPC instead of an ocarina to other unexpected adventures, the series gave me a chance to experiment with a different style of content and explore a more comedic side of my creativity.

Video Game Beat Flips

To wrap up the month, I revisited a few older beat ideas and gave them a fresh spotlight. I dug into the archives to share remixes built around classic video game soundtracks, including The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It was a fun way to revisit some of my favorite game music while showing how those memorable melodies can be reimagined as hip-hop instrumentals.

That's a Wrap!

Thanks for following along this month. I appreciate everyone who's been watching, commenting, and supporting the content. More is on the way—see you in July.
